Kamil Kuhr believed inclusion was something you build on purpose, and he spent his career doing it.

At AstraZeneca, he led education and training for teams involved in research and development, helping people understand the processes, regulations, and skills required to do the work responsibly. He also co-founded AstraZeneca’s LGBTQIA+ employee resource group, bringing together a modern approach to learning, digital accessibility, and social inclusion.

Kamil came into SGMA’s story early. In 2023, when the organization was first gaining wider recognition, he helped bring the work to Poland. He organized SGMA’s first international event at AstraZeneca’s Warsaw headquarters and helped place SGMA on the stage as a keynote presence across multiple sessions. That event brought together industry partners and opened doors that continued to shape SGMA’s relationships across Europe.

Much of what followed began with what Kamil helped build. His work created space for SGMA’s message at a moment when the organization was still becoming visible, and his belief in inclusion helped carry that message farther.

SGMA remembers Kamil with gratitude and carries forward the conviction he helped put into practice: that standards are only worth building if they account for everyone.
